Pennsbury School Board Candidates
Region One
TR Kannan
TR Kannan, the current school board president, is seeking a third term as school director.
“Pennsbury is a great district and we have made tremendous progress over the last several years, helping students thrive while having a positive impact on our community and property values,” said TR. “I look forward to continuing the progress."
First elected in 2015, TR won re-election in 2019 on both the Democratic and Republican ballots. As a director over the past 8 years, TR has been instrumental in updating and improving the district’s systems and facilities and helped maintain the stability and continuity of public education during the Covid19 pandemic.
An executive in the public sector, TR and his wife have lived in Lower Makefield for more than 20 years. Their two sons are Pennsbury students and graduates.
Pennsbury Region 1 consists of Lower Makefield Precincts North 1 thru 6, South 5, 8 and 9, and Yardley Borough.
Region Three
Dr. Joanne Delwiche
Dr. Jeannine Delwiche was elected to the school board in 2021 and became the Chairperson for the Policy Committee at the start of 2023. She ran for office because she had a desire to use her relevant skills, including her doctorate in Psychology, to serve the community.
Jeannine has a deep belief in the importance of service and stewardship and wants to do her part to give back to the community. She believes the purpose of education is threefold: 1) to inspire a passion for lifelong learning; 2) to ensure every student is equipped to succeed and to be a contributing member of society; and 3) to safeguard the function of our government by creating an educated populace.
Her top three objectives continue to be to 1) ensure that Pennsbury’s programs have the flexibility to serve the unique goals of every student; 2) create a safe, secure, and stable environment where students can learn and thrive; and 3) champion the common good in the distribution of our resources across our students, educators, and schools.
Pennsbury Region 3 includes Lower Makefield Precincts South 1 thru 4, 6 and 7, as well as parts of Falls Township.
