Lower Makefield Township Supervisor Candidates
Daniel Grenier
Dan Grenier is running for reelection to the LMT Board of Supervisors (BOS). During his time as a supervisor, he has led numerous initiatives, including updating the township’s comprehensive plan, improving internal processes, procedures, and policies while also seeking competitive bids on professional services. He improved the Green Building Ordinance while also pushing to increase project transparency in the township by passing one of the most robust public notice ordinances in the county.
Dan will seek to work with the new township manager to further implement sustainable management practices, ensure that the BOS operates with taxpayers in mind when making project and budget decisions, hold developers accountable, and work closely with residents and the volunteer advisory committees to keep LMT a great place to live, work, and play.
Supervisor Grenier has served in every position on the BOS. In addition, he was asked by the Bucks County Commissioners to be a member of the Bucks County Energy and Environment Committee.
Dan received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania where he also attended the Wharton School of Business with a minor concentration in organizational and environmental management.
Supervisor Grenier and his wife are happy to be raising their two young children and a rescue pup in Lower Makefield.
Matthew Ross
Matthew Ross moved to LMT last year from Yardley Borough, where he had resided since 2007, to accommodate his growing family. He and his wife recently welcomed their first daughter and are ecstatic to raise her in the community that his wife’s family has called home for three generations.
Matt has always had an intrinsic motivation to understand how things worked, so he could apply practical solutions to fix them. This carried him to his current profession as a department head for an industrial manufacturing company. His passion brought him to a very natural next step, becoming a councilperson for Yardley Borough (YB), where he played an integral role for five years.
During his tenure on Yardley Borough Council, he developed strong working relationships across political parties. As head of the YB Public Works Committee, he provided practical solutions to enhance project proposals.
Furthering his commitment to the local community, he has volunteered with and been awarded for his service to a national organization helping young people achieve their potential. He also became a volunteer Auxiliary Police Officer.
His desire to better our community for all residents, coupled with his fascination of logical solutions, makes him a perfect candidate for LMT’s Board of Supervisors.
